Have any of you guys installed lighted number boards on the front end of these "A" units. If you have, would you please share how and where you got yours, and I'm assuming, clear number boards to replace the decal one with, as well as, what kind of light you used.........................Thanks in advance ................................................................. Ok, this will probably be the 2nd dumbest question of the day, but where do you find a list of the forum sponsor's on this forum home page.
I put in what you said in the search box, and gives a whole bunch, of a whole bunch, but nothing where to find the sponsor that u eluded to. .........Brandy!
You have to Dremel out the old number boards as they're just part of the body shell. I made lenses out of clear plexiglass for mine and used LEDs powered off the ERR Cruise Commander module:
My Williams E7 was an unpowered unit so I had to first get the powered trucks, then I got the ERR Cruise Commander, then the sound module. I also repainted mine into a Seaboard E7, 3039.
Soon after I got a 3rd Rail E7, already painted in SAL colors:
Had to pull the huge couplers off and install Kadees, but now all is well.
I have since pulled the ERR unit out and popped it into my Railking RS3, the Williamsn E7 is sitting, waiting for another ERR unit.

Click on the " Hi-Rail, O27 and Traditional 3-Rail O Gauge" link above and look in the Featured Topics section for a locked post called OGR FORUM SPONSOR INDEX. Open the thread.
The name of the company is Evans Design. The web site's URL is www.modeltrainsoftware.com
