Williams/Lionel GG-1: Confirmed Interchangable

Just did a test fit, and my postwar Lionel GG-1 shell fits quite nicely on the chassis of my new Williams GG-1!

As a bonus, the Lionel E-unit lever slot in the postwar shell is a fine place to install a switch if you want to wire in a cutout for the E-unit...
