Yesterday, I found a box in my basement closet containing a brand new, factory sealed Williams Penn Central 4 car Metroliner set.  I have no idea when I bought it and do not remember it.  I have no use for it and would appreciate any advice about when it was made and how to dispose of it.  Does it have any value?  Feel free to contact me at my email address hocustom@aol.com.  Any help would be appreciated.   Thanks so much.

"Dispose of"  ouch!

The PRR and PC sets are less common than the Amtrak.   It took me a while to find and complete a set of PRR and still only have a 2 car PC set.

Put these on Ebay, they usually get multi bids and you should happy with the cash.

Dispose of... wheww.  Sounds harsh!

I love the Williams Metroliners.  If I ever downsize in years to come and kept only a few sets to run in a smaller household, the Metroliners by Williams are keepers.  Are they realistic?  Not really, but they capture the feel of the real train in a great way.  Sort of a comparison of a postwar Lionel streamliner but as a  1960s & 1970s high speed corridor train.

"Dispose" was probably an inappropriate statement.  At my age, I have no use for the set and would like to get it into the hands of someone who can use and appreciate it.  There must be someone out there who could add it in their collection or on use it on their layout.  I understand that it is not a very common set.
