Winross Tractor Trailers - R U Using Them?

I suggest you consider Tonkin Replicas 1:53 scale semi's. They are outstanding models. I'll attach a couple pics.

I have a bunch from my days in transportation, they seem a little bit on the small side.

southernryamtrakfan. I just put your post together with another,Spence, who just purchased 1/53 UPS tractor trailers. It's snowing here, so I plan to order at least one today. The detail is unbelieveable.

No problem. I really like the looks of the Tonkin 1:53 diecast. I'm addicted. Probably have about 30 of them.

EastonO, Here's some from the late 40's and 50's era. They are made by Specast, Athearn, 1st Gear, Corgi, Matchbox and trailers from Lionel and Weaver. As Spence was saying about the Tonkins, I have some still for sale on this forum from my Sept 26th post marked Fire trucks and double Semi's. I have CF, Preston and Conway Express still.

I agree; I think they're more S scale (1/64) size...

Thank you for all the comments and pictures. I bought a Tonkin tractor with 2 pups in order to see the detail up close and how well they match up on my layout. I hope they get here by the weekend.

I would see these in car flea markets such as Carlisle (Winross), and they looked small

to me, as well as too modern.  I see in their own description above they are 1/64th,

which makes them S scale, and undersized for O, except as background models to

enhance perspective.
