Hi,

This is my first Woodland Scenic structure, very nice looking.

I just opened up the box and wanted to wire it to my layout. I saw the lighting board underneath, and very brief instructions.

The lighting board has an empty (plug) socket "A" which they want you to connect to your transformer. I didn't see a wiring pigtail and plug included in the box, just an empty socket. I did some googling, looks like the harness is called a lead wire or power connection wire.

Is the lead wire supposed to come with the building, or is this an extra purchase?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Craig

Craig, I have the Menard's version of this building (only it is called Menard's door  co.) and the lower most receptacle on the board (below the other four and a 90% to them) did come with a10 inch wire lead that is red and black plugged into to it.

I can only assume that the Woodland Scenics version should have had one also.  if you contact Woodland Scenics , I feel sure they will provide you with one.  Unfortunately, that does not help you today.

Happy railroading,

Don

FYI,

I like to let everyone know how situations are resolved.

I called Woodland Scenic the day after Labor Day, got a nice lady on the phone that ordered me the part, free of charge, no documentaton, receipt etc. No hassle.

The part arrived on Thursday and I just installed the plug and voila all is well, put it on the layout, looks great.

Below is a picture of it on my layout.

Thanks for everyones help...this forum is the Best!
