So I just got my new Wtiu today. It has been nothing short of a headache. Tried to download a manual for network and off course it just takes me to the mth website to purchase another one but no instructions. After 2 hours I found it on another website. I got the networking done after swapping out my tiu version L. Then my app keeps glitching out. Reset the app, works a little better. 3 factory resets and finally got it to update to ver 1.04 firmware. Now I can't power on the var channels 1 and 2. I can get fixed channels to power up but not the var channels. I put power to them using my 180w powerhouse power supplies and switched the var channel to fixed. No change. Swap power supply inputs around. No change. Disconnected the tracks from the tiu and still no change. The other thing I am noticing is the signal for the track is all over the place. I did not have issues with the old Tiu but I wanted to replace it as it is old and is bubble gummed together. But this power issue is just insane and mth is no help either. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dale Jr,
Check out my post here and see if that helps. https://ogrforum.com/topic/bench-testing-the-wtiu
So update, I got all 4 channels to power up. Unfortunately my next can of worms has opened up. Odd signals to the train, going in and out. I figured I'd start diagnosing to see if possible wire issue because you know old tiu works but new one is buggy. I used only channel 4 while unplugging the other 3 channels. Using a test track I install the engine but if I try to do anything the system seems to freeze up with only startup and shutdown working. Good signal strength but I do keep losing the wtiu with the Wtiu not found message. It is consistent no matter if it's in home or mth mode and I even tried ethernet. I am starting to think I got a bad system.
Did you update the firmware of the WTIU yet?
Yes the firmware is updated. Version 1.04. Last night while working on it, I was able to run some trains. Made me a bit happy. While running 2 loops each loop with a 3 engine lashup, I found that the wtiu dropped one of the engines in the lashup. It ran fine but the wtiu was saying it wasn't there. 🤣 I just finished the run session then got back to researching the issues.
Does anyone know how to get the firmware update? I understand the process but there ver 1.04 is not on the MTH download page and the Wtiu does not upgrade automatically, currently I can only add an engine on fixed 1 and after adding multiple engines it is hit or miss as to which one it recognizes.
I updated the firmware through the app.
