Yellow Cabooses

There is a thread running on Lionel UP cabooses just being delivered, in yellow, and the statement made that UP

didn't start using yellow until 1947. When I was a kid, way back when, I had a childhood book that showed only

steam and individual pictures of freight cars, including a YELLOW Katy (Missouri, Kansas, and Texas) caboose. Being

apparently impressionable, I have chosen and use yellow as the caboose color for my freelance road. When did the

KATY begin to use yellow? (this book could have been pre-WWII)

You might want to research the Katy Railroad Historical Society. I also remember seeing some sort of color book about MKY cabooses.
