Please tell us about your 3-rail track!!
Rex,
The track in the foreground is atlas code 148 two rail with a code 55 center rail. The track in back is Scaletrax.
I have a post you can look up under my name "Changing Scaletrax to code 148 three rail". Shows how I did it. I'm in the process of selectively changing to code 148. Marker also has some great posts.
The only down side is some 3rail wheels work some don't. So I've gone to scale wheels without problems.
Regards, Ron
Nice car Lee!
here is my mechanic at the part store.

This is an incredible thread, I keep looking at all the contributions over and over.
Here's one more...

The code 55 center rail is a real aesthetic improvement.
I've found that some older diesel models have troubles with 148. Some day I'll hit up my friend with a lathe and turn the flanges down. Some day.
I'm gradually replacing wheels on my rolling stock with scale-flanged wheels. So far, everything I've modified (or bought) with scale wheels runs satisfactorily on the AGHR layout, 36"r min curves, although these wheels unerringly find less-than-good trackwork.
The closeup of the under the bridge roadside market really has a lot of detail.
these are the best photo's I have but they no where near compare to some I have seen on this thread.
John,
They are good. I like the night one of the station and enginehouse best!

Thanks Mark,
I'll tell you a true test of one's patience is painting stripes on O scale watermelons.

Ha, Ha! Yes, that would be a test of patience.

This is one of my favorite threads on this forum.
My NSA building. It's a repurposed X-box 360 case with 100 LED lights inside.
it took me awhile to figure out how to mount this with no visible means of support or shadows on the wall:

There's a couple of guys in black suits and shades asking about you, John.
Something about Area 51, prohibited use of alien technology, and some missing little black shiny cubes......
They also don't seem to have a sense of humor, at least as far as they are aware.

Don't know if this what you're going for John but that thing is sinister from every angle! I mean blue lights + NSA + X-box. Do the math!
Sealing the deal
Joe, That would scare the poop out of me driving that forkdown the ramp with a load even going from the level to the down hill. One bad move and good bye. But, I realize it is model trains and our space is limited and we take advantage to get the scene on the layout.
Phil
I believe you are supposed to BACK down ramps with heavy loads so the truck does not lift the rear wheels up. The flat deck on the model ramp does not give you much area to maneuver. Very nice looking fork lift truck and crates! Any more info about the maker? Thanks, Paul Goodness
Nice street scene. I love that Scenicruiser. I just got one and am in the middel of converting it to 'Streets.

This great car dealership scene makes me think of a special request for Lee. If you haven't done it already Lee I would love to see a recreation of the used car lot scene with Janet Leigh and John Anderson in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho.
Thanks BigCrabCake!
Here's more of that same scene:

Walt,
Can you tell me more about the Greyhound? Who makes it and where can I get one?

I wish I could help you out here but can't - at least not right now. My brother got it for me because it says "Pittsburgh" on it's destination plate, and I live in Pittsburgh.
I have the box packed away at this time but if I remember, when I get things out to set up my Christmas layout I'll see if there's any info available to share with you. Hit me with an email around mid-October (OK, right after York!) to remind me, OK?
