Several members have been working on a harbor and the subway but just this week we've gotten lights to the urban area. Thought I'd post a few random shots around the 'city'

Harold's Circus added some ground cover with the road consisting of dried (real) Buffalo chips. He has a small herd of about 20 American Bison on their ranch here.

Thank you Frank!  Your vignettes are so much from ordinary life, that makes them so special!!

And the ones called Transients!  I love it!  Yes, that is what they would call hobos today.  There are 'transients' who camp out along the Bessemer and Lake Erie and the Buffalo and Pittsburgh in Butler.  Last spring I could see a tent for several weeks along the tracks.  It was too close to the creek, good thing there was no flooding.  Good fodder for a vignette for my layout when I build.

Frank,

Thank you for the compliment.  I was a shy kid, and it took years to come out of my shell.  Now that  I'm older, I have to make up for lost time.

You're welcome!  The way I look at it, if you took the time to post photos and writeup on your modeling, I can should spend a little time letting you know I appreciate it!  I'll bet it would take quite a while to look over all you scenes on your layout!

I can almost hear the falling water...(maybe with a sound module)? my friend and talented scenery guy, Todd Gamble (Sceneryartist on the forum) came down from Seattle and helped me with the start of this new vignette on my layout (fingers in pics #2/3 show size relationship since it's a small falls). where the water calms down and widens out (not visible), we'll have canoeing, fishing and small boat dock. Thanks, Todd. Great job!

Jerrman, that is truly fantastic. Modeling water is one thing but I would not have thought this was possible. Also, I can hear the water running . . . looks cold too!

thanks, Scott. Most of the credit goes to Todd. he has a great eye and keeps at it until he feels it's right. I just follow along. I'm glad he's also out West (Seattle) so I can learn from him, not to mention improving my layout.
