Interesting study of human nature among visitors to my layout:
This scene produced too many responses of "Oh no! Poor hiker!"
So I changed it to this. Now I get, "Go Yogi! Get him!"

Superb scenes! I was looking over the Fusion Fiber Web site. I will give it a try when I get to the scenery stage.
My Tacky Trailer Park is perhaps the favorite area of my layout to most visitors. It's a lot of fun if perhaps not very politically correct. There is at least one vignette for every trailer.
This particularly one is a domestic dispute. The wife called the state police when her wastral husband was beating on her. Now she is mad at the trooper because he's arrested herhusband and handing him over to the city cops.
I had a lot of fun making these figures of the wife in the trooper's face. Those at the left are a commerical pair, but the wife and trooper are bashed. I put her in a fuzzy green bathrobe and had fun, if tedious fun, putting haircurlers on her.
OK, since no one emailed me, YET, to say I am boring them here's another. Local SMALL Busy Beaver lumber outlet. I guess that undersized Steelers Semi was delivering 'O' scale wood!!!

These are interesting little scenes. Some very imaginative thinking here.
Andre....you are the best!!...great shots!!

As one comes into the harbor, the reflection of the night lights from the row houses are seen dancing on the water.... a cool breeze is in the wind....

Here is the first scene we completed on our layout My grandson came up with the idea when we went to one of the Allentown shows a couple years ago.
The tiny country service station on the main highway out of town is doing a booming business this morning, keeping traffic moving . . .
This morning at Nigel Quicks English Motorcars, things are hopping.
Nigel has just received one of the new D-type Jaguars which he plans to campaign in next week's SCCA race. Given it will be the only car in the race with disc brakes, he knows he will have a distinct advantage. Still, he didn't get to be SCCA champion by not having his mechanics prepare well, so the car is getting a final checkover.
Meanwhile out of the lot, a young couple with a bad case of sports car fever can't quite decide. They agree it will be English, and they agree it will be red. But MG or Truimph? that is the sticking point: domestic tranquility depends on reaching a consensus!
As one watches travelers arriving and departing the great station thoughts of where they have been and where they are going...adventure....!!!

That is a very nice scene leavingtracks. Gas stations are always make good vignettes because there is a lot of familiar action that can be set up. Nicely shadowed, too.
I have never been to this thread before. These are some great scenes, I will definitely follow this. Fantastic job folks.

Hard at work in the shadow of a GP7.
Scott, I'm not seeing your photos on the desktop PC. Your captions sound like they are great scenes.
I always enjoy looking at these as well as learning from them! Thanks everyone for sharing.
Here is one of mine. It's at the James Bond Museum with cars and unique vehicle collection (not yet complete). More cars (not in the picture but on the left) and on the right outside of view is Q's workshop...Terry
Thanks Lee....I have quite a few more so I will post them during the week. As a matter of fact, I have well over 10,000 pictures of the layout most of which have never been seen here. (Not to worry, I won't post them all.. ) This thread is ideal for folks to post closeups which may help give others some great ideas...

Maybe over time you can post them all - that would be fantastic. This is one of the best threads ever: I love to see what others have done. None of us can do every type of theme and approach, but through looking at other layouts, we can enjoy such a rich variety. Your concrete canyons are fantastic.
Have any "ambiguous" vignettes? A guest recently asked me if this milk man were delivering or picking up milk from the farm. I know what I intended when I built this scene around using another of my Divco milk trucks, but my wife's friend had a point . . . is the milk coming or going?

Ah crap. That's what happens posting from an iPad. Will have to try again later.
May God bless your grandfather!
