In the last few months, I've read in several publications that the chopped sine wave output of the ZWC is detrimental to post-war e-units. I have been running post-war engines with my ZWC for four years, and so far, I've not incurred any e-unit failure. Anyone have a problem in this area?

None.
The only thing I could think of is that it may not sequence the turning on the drum correctly as most post war E units need the power interrupted(cut off momentarilly) to function properly.

I use a ZWC with my Prewar Lionel freight set (224E & 2224W). I've never had a problem with the E-Unit. It has all worked flawlessly for years.

That's nonsense.

I originally posted that I had no issue but after thinking further, I had to revise my answer.
Some, not all, of my pulmor locos cause issues on the layout.
The symptoms are most likely to show when running a pulmor loco on each of the two main loops (handles A and D) running at the same time. The result can be brief spikes of power visible in my lighted accessories (Beacon tower). I've also had loco whistles and bells activated on their own.
Again, this doesn't occur with all pulmor locos. Just a few.
