A great time with a wonderful bunch of guys. What a delight seeing Owen's family. I'll leave it to Ben to discuss the memorial the Highrailers have made in his honor.

Sorry I couldn't make it had to work. I was there in spirit. When I could I was watching on the webcam's. Caught a glimpse of Vinny doing his thing and Marty Horning workin the crowd. Lol! I met Vinny at the show in Sommerset last week. Great guy.

Looked like I missed a great time. As I say every year...maybe next year.

I am glad you took pics of the cakes Didn't get to see or taste either. Had to be the fastest two full sheet cakes disappeared

I can vouch for that, Ben! LOL.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed them. Next time, I have to consider making one in the form of an actual locomotive. I have done one before, but not one that can feed 300 people. Perhaps that's something we can consider for next year. Wouldn't you say, guys?

Thanks for the pictures! Someday I'll cross the Delaware and get to trainstock. And most importantly,having a tribute to Owen (although I never knew him) was a consoling and thoughtful act for those who did know him.

Did anyone get some good pic's of the Alaska set on the layout?
Unfortunately my pic's didn't come out so good, I don't know why.
Or if someone shot some video that would be even better. Mine didn't come out so good either.

You must be under 50 or so?
This is a takeoff on the infamous 'Woodstock Music Festival' from back in August 1969. Their logo had a guitar with a dove on it.

I'm familiar with Woodstock, but I don't have more than cursory knowledge and didn't know they had a logo. Thanks for the info.

I found a run-by of the Alaska train that I shot with my 'spy cam' from inside one of the bridges on the helix approach. I'll have to edit out where I retrieved the cam after it passed, but I'll embed it in this thread once it's done.
