I completed installation of Atlas track on my BEEPWorld loop today. I had previously posted still photos of the five-rail track section and learned in reply that such track section actually exist in some locations in the real world, called guantlet track. Anyway, several folks requested a video of it once done. Here is a UP BEEP pulling Clarabel and Annie up the gauntlet, around the reversing loop, and then back down the gauntlet. You can clearly see the five-rail track gauntlet section and how it is tied to both ends of the reversing loop's three rail track sections.
Additional comments for anyone interested:
- Yes, the layout is a total complete, chaotic mess, but it will clean up quick.
- I have a lot of finish work, repair of terrain and scenery to do, but it too will go quickly and is an opportunity to make to whole look a tad more desert southwest (it was more norther Colorado foothills before).
- Why is this UP BEEP pulling Clarabel and Annie? Because while I was going to have a Thomas star in this production, both of my remote Thomi died: I'll report on that separately.
