In 1961 the ERIE RR merged with the DELAWARE, LACKAWANNA & WESTERN RR to form the ERIE-LACKAWANNA RR (with hyphen). While some may say the former ERIE was in charge, the new E-L chose the former DL&W's passenger locomotive colors for boxcars and freight/passenger locomotives being repainted into a grey/maroon paint scheme.
The only freight cars painted grey/maroon were boxcars.
RMT has chosen this E-L boxcar as one of the first new RMT freight cars being offered.
NOTE: Reference in upper left corner to Equipment Trust Info (so clear you can actually read the lettering!)...and crispness of roadname printing (no fuzziness either!).
Only a few of these unique E-L boxcars remain in stock...immediate shipping too.

Thanks.
