Opened a Railking High Cube Boxcar for the first time today and both of the couplers and one of the trucks literally fell apart. I’m guessing this is zinc rot or whatever the correct affliction is. This car has never been opened before and it’s been stored for approximately 10 to 12 years. Mint, if you don’t count the broken couplers and truck. Hahaha. I’ve taken the screws out of the bottom but it looks like it’s a little bit of an ordeal to separate the chassis from the frame for this boxcar. Anyone have any familiarity with this procedure? This must be my day for broken trains. Thx for looking.image
