I have a 2032 Erie Alco from 1952 and noticed the middle pinion gear 622-36 had some play in it.
Removed the truck and removed the gear by pulling on it.
In Greenbergs repair guide it shows a "wheel" (2343-33) being placed over it, but I see no such wheel and cannot understand why a "wheel" would be there....they are 4 wheel trucks not five!
Can anyone share their knowledge on this?
