So, I was snooping around Steam Locomotive.com, when I found a snippet that referenced a 2-6-4T that was in service with the Illinois Central.
Obviously, there's a bunch of stuff that sounds wrong with that, but its also possible that truth is stranger than fiction in this case.
What's your thoughts, and do pictures of these things even exist???

IC certainly had 2-4-4T Suburban engines.

Well, here's the Gem 2-4-4T
I know I've seen a model of the analogous 2-6-4T albeit not lately.
This is a Forney-type locomotive and they came in a number of wheel arrangements. Used in commuter and elevated railroad applications, where the locomotives traveled relatively short distances, hence the small coal/water capacities.
This B&A engine is reputedly a 2-6-6T but I'm having a hard time spotting six wheels under the back end. Kinda looks like a 2-6-4T.
The 6 are under there, count the Journal Boxes instead of the wheels.
