Almost done with this year's Christmas Train Layout! Here's a quick video of the Rudolph train and our new to us L-3 Mohawk Polar Express passing across the front of the layout. Pictures to come!

Thanks for the compliments, guys. GCRailways...I do not recall where I picked up the Queensbridge Station. I think it was purchased from a local gift shop that was having a 50% off sale.
Rick
I believe the Queensbridge Station is by Department 56 and is part of their Dickens Village collection. It has been retired but you should easily be able to pick one up on the secondary market if you have an interest.
My first ever Christmas tree layout. I had to leave room on both sides for the dog to look out the window, so I was limited to 3' X 4" so I went with a birthday cake layout. The remote Thomas is on the floor for my grandson to run. The center layer is most of a village my Dad used to put under there tree and I added his 130's Lionel set. The top layer is a Bachmann N scale I got specifically for Christmas.
Merry Christmas everyone!
I just wanted to say that I think this thread is fantastic....thanks Brian for starting it. We don't have trains around the tree this year....just been too many issues that have prevented it but seeing these pictures sure helps the spirit!!
Sirt..I love the pickup...where did you get it???
Thanks,
Alan
Finally finshed the final touches on the Christmas display under the tree.

Lots of great pictures!
Redrockbill, the beep and caboose are painted with the cheapest silver spray can they had at wmart. I added some snowflake stickers and a nameplate I printed...It's the Snowflake Express.

Matthew B.....that is awesome!
This year my wife suggested I run a "real train" under the tree. I've run a wide guage Thomas and LGB for a number of years, and fail to see how these are not "real trains", but okay, I'll bow to the powers that be. So I decided to get out the train that started it all for me, a Lionel steamer set that my parents gave for Christmas many years ago. I looked into when they gave it to me, and found out that the set is 50 years old this year! Man, that was a bit of a shock! But I have to admit, I've had many pleasent experiences and met many nice people because of having this train. Heck, I would not have met my wife, but that's a convoluted story for another time.
Here is our cat Garfield, supervising train movement.

P&LE #1501 Is pulling an Oversized load on the Harley Family Christmas loop.
Stewart the pig "named after my good friend across the pond Stewart Wilson" is taking his yearly laps around the tree, He just love the trip and the attention he gets from the family. Merry Christmas from Stewart and the Harley Family!
Rixster, what are the victorian looking stations?
Chipset:
The Victorian Station is Old Queensbridge Station by Department 56, produced in 1999 and retired in 2002. Nice pieces for sure. Here is a link to one available on Amazon:

This years Christmas layout. Flying the Lionel flag on the other side of the pond.
Polar Express and operating egg nog (milk) car.
Got out my Lincoln Logs set for the little lad so, so we built the cabin under the tree.
Lionel Trains christmas lights, 50's style bubble lights. New for this year a tree topper we picked up from Lowes on our trip to the States in October. Added the Hallmark Lionel items for this year and the BTTF DeLorean. Little lad added chuggington and Polar Express Hallmark bits and the chipmunks again from Lowes.
We think there was better Christmas tack available in the States this year.
Have a good Christmas
Regards
Nick
Our dog Coty gets a little loving under the Christmas tree with the Spirit of the Century train set.
Here is our Christmas Layout for 2012. It is on one of our portable layouts next to the Christmas tree. The snowblower works great! I hope you like this little layout as much as my wife does since she did it this year
Amazing work everybody. Here are a few pictures of our layout this year.
