2016 MTH Catalog Wish List

1. My wishlist is to move the current 70-foot passenger cars into the Rail King line, and introduce full-scale passenger cars into the Premier line. C'mon; the European O scale cars and the H.O. cars are full scale. The H.O. cars use flex tooling to allow for road-specific variants.
2. Better availability of ScaleTrax, including a #4 and O-72 wye.

1.  Locomotive in The Rock blue and white paint!

 

2. More Rock Island rolling stock.

MTH has not done a Blue and White, The Rock paint scheme in over 10 years.

But they have done some very nice Rock Island locos, and some rolling stock,

just would love to see The Rock again!

Other than that, my bank account can't take much more with the most recent catalog.

Same wish as with Lionel, a repeat of the last catalog.

 

Lionel got my whole train budget last time and I still didn't get my entire wish list of stuff. Had to pass completely on the last MTH catalog and there were a couple of things I wanted from it as well.

 

Actually a once a year catalog from all the manufacturers would be fine with me (and my train budget). I do wish they would keep accessories available all the time though. I think that would be a big plus for folks just entering the hobby too, so they don't have to wait 10 or 15 years to get an accessory they want to add to their new layout. And your kids and grand kids would be able to enjoy them before they are in college or out on their own. 

I would like something new please.

Amtrak Viewliners! Somebody please make these. I hope it isn't only Kevin and myself that need Amtrak Viewliners. We want Amtrak Viewliners! Please.

Not expecting any new tooling .  I would like to see the Milwaukee Road EF3 electric boxcabs again, in a PS3 version. I missed them on the first run....

To put their new SD45 molds to good use. Southern Pacific, SSW, Speed lettered and maybe even Kodachrome.

 

Euro freight cars to go with the German 2-10-0. 

Another Milwaukee Road electric, either the Westinghouse boxcab passenger engine or the GE steeplecab switcher. 

 

PARTS!!!!!

I don't currently have any MTH locomotives, but if they offered scale Reading steam locomotives, other than Pacific's of T-1's, I sure would be interested.  I would love to have a pair of 2-8-0 Consolidation steam locomotives that I could double-head in front of a large coal drag!

In my opinion, if the companies can produce yet another dome car in colors of railroads that never ran them in a method to evoke memories of the 50's, they can find the time to do a Viewliner.  After all, they've made a Superliner.  

 

No offense to those who have 1950's memories, but I have memories of the 1970's and 1980's and would like to see more of them available, LOL. 

 I would usually make my list here too. I would have loved some of the recent engines in two rail like the Niagara and the #765 Berk.

 Instead, I'd just like to back the wishes that are already listed here. Almost everyone interests me. They are going slowly in the right direction. I love to read that they're now putting in LEDs!

I would like to get another Genset to match my other SDIV genset.

I'd like to add Penn Central to this list.

bluelinec, your pictures bring back memories.  I grew up in that area when Hoboken was a busy port, said to have a bar on each corner.

Scale L&N M-1 Berkshire - NOT a repainted NKP loco.

 

Again - and why Mr Wolf, from Maryland, has not done this, I don't know:

 

WM 2-10-0. Well known - more so than the WM 4-6-6-4, and he has accurately done that loco.

 

(And the L&NE 2-10-0; pretty much a copy with a smaller tender; I'd prefer the smaller tender; I'd re-letter the loco.)
