3 rail O gauge track confusion | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I am only an occasional Lionel train hobbyist attempting to get my old equipment into good shape so that I can pass it on to my grandson. I purchased some O gauge track and was surprised to see that it was quite different from my original tracks. I have posted a photo of the two tracks and hope that someone can tell me the difference. (original on top)

Just do a Google search for O gauge track and begin the learning process. There are numerous versions of O gauge track. Lionel alone has had several, including the current FasTrack.

Some track is taller that others.
