Now that 3rd Rail is offering this electric I expect that there will be some discussion. I don't think that this engine has been produced by anyone before.

Not much discussion, I guess. I am not a customer for this, so my opinion shouldn't be counted - I personally think the six axle versions are more interesting.
I have been waiting for this for quite awhile. And am glad they offered this version..its more versatile - they were regularly MU'd with P5as, and I like the brawny look given by those 48" wheels. I have already reserved a pair.
I am a fan of odd, unusual and limited production locomotives. I am going to have to recover from my recent Virginian EL-2B purchase and see when the SP KM ML-4000 starts production before I make the final decision but it is VERY tempting!. Add to the list the C&O 490 which is also very tempting. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
