Just an ordinary day. Bring the trains in. Change Crews. Take the trains out.

Wow, great photos. I take you are an employee and took these from the tower or something.

Wrong, all taken from public streets or a highway bridge, I was there myself last Saturday.
Borden Tunnel is correct. All photos taken from Crawford St. bridge or from the public street along the tracks.
Bill, you asked over on TO about trains following each other up Sand Patch. I can tell you that on my last 2 visits to the Cumberland area, CSX has dispatched a fleet of westbounds in late-morning, seems to coincide with the Amtrak PO30 eastbound through Cumberland.
Last October, I was up on Sand Patch at Foley,PA., and 4 trains came upgrade in about 1 hour.
The first one was the only train with a helper, even so the empty autorack and empty coal trains following kept catching restricting signals from the crawling mixed freight.

good to know there are some good sites in Connelsville. I have been there a few times and have never gotten nice pictures like that.
also, the last 3 times at Sand Patch, I have been skunked. I think once we got 1 train in 2-3 hours. On the other two visits we got nothing. It seems like CSX shuts down in the afternoon and then starts up again at about 6 pm. We were in Rockland (I think that is the name) in the evening and caught about 4 trains in a little over an hour.
