FOR TODAY:  Heard on WPBR News: "Patsburg Fire Dept extinguished a locomotive fire early this morning. Fire crews were quick to respond.  No injures were reported.   The locomotive came to a stop right as the track crossed Patsburg Ave. blocking traffic for over an hour. Fire Chief Bootjack Higgenbottom gave the all clear at 8:30 a.m." IMG_6070

@farmerjohn John, that must be one huge order! Sure, looks like you have everything needed to get the job done! I would love to have some of that equipment it all looks great! But wondering where you got the Wester Star dump truck?

@Sitka I wish them luck with their gold panning! But to be honest I think they would make more money working for John at the coal mine! LOL

FOR TODAY:  Not even the middle of November yet and snow is falling in the Patsburg area.  The ski trains are arriving full with folks bound for the slopes of Mt. Randolph and the Randolphian Mountain Range where ski resorts  begin to thrive this time of year.   Here we see a Western Maryland ski special arriving at Patsburg commuter station.  The nose of a B&O F3, barely visible in the far left side of photo, heads a ski special from Pittsburgh.  With the many passenger trains now traversing the rails of the FSJR, freight trains have been routed over the high line.  .... just another day on the railroad!IMG_0905
