We all know what it’s like to buy that “untested” loco, usually really means tested but didn’t work. This was a pleasant surprise, right out of the box, no servicing. Dorfan’s are know for all kinds of issues and seldom are intact, let alone run. Always fun to put power to them and hope for the best. Now for oil and grease.

Congratulations Steve. I'm envious. One day I hope to make a Dorfan find like that. Was this the one recently on ebay?

Yes it is the recent listing. Studied the pictures quite a bit and could not see any fatigue in the normal place so I went for it. Even the wheels are usable.
