Let me start off by saying this is in NO way a thread about a new startup tourist line. I'm just floating the idea of restoring a segment of the old western PA Montour Railroad for a tourist operation. There is a Montour SW9 under restoration at Age of Steam that could be used for motive power. As a hypothetical, what would be your reaction to this and would there be any interest in such a tourist operation? Please feel free to post your thoughts below.

In order to handle passengers on a railroad in todays environment, could require up to 750 million dollars worth of liability insurance coverage. That is a pretty big stumbling block, right up front.
