Somewhere, sometime in the past XX months (six?) someone here posted the details about a programmable timer that they had used to adjust the 'wait time' on block control for their 'Streets roads.  I cannot find this post.  I recall the device was 12 to 24 VDc range and intended to be used in appliances and had an adjustable wait time before it would switch on or off, - something like that.

Anybody remember know about this?  I'm trying to plan a major 'Streets road upgrade and still undecided about if and how I will activate and control traffic on my roads. This device could help.

Thanks . . .

HI Lee...

I have used these before with pretty good success.

Then again, after the Christmas season I may look at those programmable

modules ( androids ? Andrena ?  A something something ? )

The prices are reasonable now and there will be a learning curve but depending

on what you want to do changes can be made when ever you like with a new

program. Just inputs and outputs.

I started trying to  automate Gabe the Lamplighter. what a pain, it was getting

out of hand with the hardware. I did it in less than 2 hours with a programmable

controller I had. If I ever want to change the sequence, just a few quick code

changes and off you go.

As often as you tinker with the streets, I would just wire in all the inputs and output

functions you think you might need and program the functions you wish to do.

Doing a wait 3 seconds in software is a lot more accurate than hardware....
