Since its July 4th weekend, I thought everyone might enjoy seeing this item. It's an ad Bachmann ran during the 70s to advertise the addition of the Seaboard Coast Line Bicentennial U36B to its HO and N scale product lines. The SCL 1776 was the first locomotive to be specially painted in anticipation of the upcoming Bicentennial and, having been sent on an extensive multi-state tour, it became a very popular locomotive with hobbyists as Athearn, Bachmann and Lionel all capitalized on that popularity and released models of it. This ad is a real time capsule for those of us who were in the hobby back then.
Enjoy,
Bob
