I've seen diamond crossings, and even the recent development of bump-over diamonds, but this "drawbridge" crossing on a pair of Queensland, Austrailia narrow-gauge RR's is a new one on me, though when you see the equipment on the smaller road it may begin to make sense...

I had read about this crossing before. To the extent I still remember what I had read, the main narrow gauge (1067 mm) line is regularly used for coal / grain trains but the even narrower gauge (610 mm) is mostly used during the sugarcane harvesting season running between July & November.

So it makes sense to have this removable crossing & not have a diamond where these 2 different gauges meet when one of the lines only sees seasonal traffic.
