Hi Marty, Put Ben, John S and myself to attend. Thanks.
Jim D.
Hi! I'm looking forward to the lug breakfast. I wil be there! Thanks for organizing.
Harold
Sadly I cannot attend this year, but I'll send Will in my place.
Since Paula would only confirm the room if Will promised to come, I think he'd have a hard time weaseling out of this one.
Please count me in!! Happy Railroading!!-Don Klose
Is there an appropriate way to introduce the MANCO Legacy Booster at the LUG meeting? Seems like this would be a group that would be very interested, and they probably have larger layouts that might have serial data overloads.
I don't plan to be at York this time.
Dale
Send me the details. I don't see any issue in getting the word out.
Please send me an email at dmanquen@msn.com. I tried twice to send to your email listed on the Forum, but both messages bounced.
Marty, I'll attend in the meeting
Regards
Albrecht
I am getting a good vibration about this spring's LUG meeting!.
HEY MARTY THE CREWS COMEING HEARD YOU WERE BUYING BREAKFAST VINCE
I believe we shall have a pretty good meeting.
Marty, can you ask if they're working on a 'memory' module. The reason I ask is I just sent my Legacy set to Ohio. I was getting the 'flashing red light', even with the Cab 2 setting in the base. The base is loaded with 98ENG, 14TRN, 2RTE, 6ACC, you get the picture. I'm afraid Lionel will replace the base with a new/rebuilt one and I am going to have to reload all my data from scratch.
John, when the backup software is released you will find the backup is done to your computer, not the black modules. The black modules are for updating the bases firmware and for making personality chips, similar to the Orange modules but with an added twist
As Chris said it's on the horizon, perhaps even if Ohio replaces your base they will transfer your settings over before sending it back.
count me in for the B'fast meeting
I plan on being there.
Andy
For those of us who can not be at the meeting, but would love to hear or know the content... Will someone be posting notes or a recording of this meeting?
We always post a summary the following week.
Mike, we usually post the notes up after the meeting.
However without the charm that Mike R brings to the meeting, along with the smell of scrapple, the notes just don't quite have the same effect
Marty and cb,
Thanks! I will pay attention.
Mike
We will be demoing the latest LSU software. We had a preview last fall and it has come a ways since then! The multi engine module that is still in the works looks cool. I can see this being a hit a clubs.
Marty is the location still Alexander's?
Will the multi-engine module be programmable with the LSU and a standard #990 command base? That would be a nice module to have.
Yes still at Alexander's
and Yes the multi-engine module works just fine with current 990s and LSU software. The black module will do a single engine module, a multi-engine module, or a system module depending what is written to it.
I'll be there.
Hi Marty. I'll be there. Thanks to you Chris and Will for doing this.
I don't know what you worked out with Dale but I can bring my Manco Legacy Booster if you want.
I will attend.
I got Dale's information via email. I would appreciate if you could bring yours. Dale offered to send one but if you have on and are using it then I'd like you to maybe say a few words. Also I wouldn't have to worry about losing or having something happen to Dale's.
Thanks Steve!
Dale would that be OK?
Hi Marty. I'll be there. Thanks to you Chris and Will for doing this.
I don't know what you worked out with Dale but I can bring my Manco Legacy Booster if you want.
I am certainly comfortable with Steve presenting his results and showing his Booster. That will save all of us a lot of effort shipping things back and forth.
I will send Steve an update on results that other customers are having when we get closer to York.
Excellent Dale. Thanks for the contribution to the LUG meeting. I will make sure the info you sent is available to all.
Hi Dale, waiting on the other results later on.
Steve
I am looking forward to my first LUG meeting, count me in. Thanks.
can we post questions here?
if so I would like to ask if Lionel could make a screen in cab1 mode to show volts. when running in conventional some of my engines like a certain amount of volts and I can not see what the volts are when I turn the red knob. the way it is now is a trial and error.
QUESTION:
I just had my Legacy Base returned after getting the charger repaired for the second time. The note from the technician told me I was using the wrong rechargeable batteries and to not use them again. They gave me a new set of the stock batteries (GP2500 1.2v 2450 mAh).
The batteries I was using are Sanyo eneloop rechargeable batteries. they are 1.2 v 1900 mAh and are widely considered the best rechargeable batteries on the market right now. So my question is, what are the proper batteries to replace the rechargeable battery in the CAB-2? Can we get a list of good batteries to use in the CAB-2?
I will be there, and look forward to it. Hopefully Locolawyer will be with me.
