Last day for questions is April 6th. Get 'em in.
is there any updates planned in the future so that we could have more then one recording?
Marty I'd like to know what plans Lionel has for Crew talk and Tower Com? The dialogue has been dumbed down a bit. I'd really like for Lionel to get back to unique cab#'s and some more meaningful dialogue in the sound set. For example in Steam engines I'd rather have communication between the fireman and engineer about what they are doing in the locomotive. I think that would be more realistic and pleasing to hear.
Sequence mode is fun, but we should not have to sacrifice other sound features for it in my opinion.
Marty, please sign me up for my first LG meeting as well. I am just rebuilding my layout after a move and a long time away from my trains. Looks like there is a lot of catch up to do.
Roger
I will be attending the breakfast.

Marty,
Can you do a lunch or dinner meeting next time? I would really like to be there but it's a 3 hour drive for me to get to York so I won't be there until later on Friday.
If the opportunity presents itself could you ask the following:
- Will Lionel be introducing new serial devices in the future or is the strategy to replace the current devices with wireless devices like the SC-2?
- Is there any chance we will see a Legacy compatible ARC?
- Are there plans in the near future to expand the utility to allow the editing of accessories? How about saving and loading CAB-2 recordings?
- Is there any way to display the commands being processed through Legacy? It would nice to be able to put the CAB-2 in a mode where it displays all of the commands being transmitted.
- What is the best way to report a problem so that it is researched and addressed? For example, the vision-line operating stock car when added to a train will begin a sustained screech after running for a period of time. When it is not added to a train it works fine. This could be a problem with a particular unit, but it is more likely a problem with the software which may only reveal itself in the specific configurations, i.e. linked with specific other engines and accessories. Calling generic CS doesn’t work very well for this type of problem.
I could go on and on but I realize you only have a half-hour.
Thanks!
Don,
Changing the meeting time has been bought up several times but we have never found an available time
Weds DCS Meeting at night
Thursday is night is OGR meeting night
Friday afternoon is OGR grandstand and people leaving
I really do not think too many people are keen on the idea of leaving the Fairgrounds to attend an offsite meeting in the middle of the day Thursday or Friday. But we are open to suggestions
Chris,
Thursday morning would be a good time...
And folks travel Thursday morning as well due to the meet starting late, including me.
No matter what time we do someone won't be able to attend.
At some point if we do a Thursday morning, I would just prefer to do it at the fairgrounds in one of the rooms and just provide doughnuts and coffee. That would be the best as then everyone could walk out and start the meet. That would be my preference. But then again I would have to get up at 4am to be there by 10 to be done by 11:30. See you can't even satisfy me. LOL!
Interestingly enough you read about everyone meeting for breakfast early on Friday anyways...
I could make Thursday at 10:30AM - no problem. I think on the fairgrounds makes a lot of sense. I'll even bring the donuts.
Well lets get through this one and we'll take a serious look at the Fall holding it on the fairgrounds Thursday morning. Maybe a room in the Orange hall.
Marty,
See (if) you can even satisfy me.
Just spring for a hotel room for Wednesday night. That way, you could also attend the DCS User Group meeting!
I believe that is my plan for Fall.
Hey Marty,
Did you end up with a list of questions to send to Lionel?
Could you please post them here,if you have time. It would be appreciated !!
I wish everyone going to the LUG meeting a great and informitive time
Doug
I did. I will post them in a day or so.
In switching to Thursday morning the rooms in orange hall are booked for TCA meetings and at the fall session I thought we were having another OGR Track planning/ scenery session this year in the fall, its like now LCCA having a get together the same time as the DCS group. I like legacy on Friday AM at Alexander's the crowd coming, its grown and proven it works, just like Barry's DCS session. Aint broke don't fix. Ask Mike R. bring us a black module from the Lionel vault so we can go home and play with the Legacy program. We love ya Mike!!!
FYI I posted the agenda in pdf format in the first post.
Frank M. and I will be there.
Looking forward to Friday!
Marty, is the MANCO Booster for Legacy included in that agenda somewhere?
It will be. I thought I had it in there but I guess not. I'll make sure it is added.
Thanks. Added!Sorry Dale. At one time it was on there but I've done so much cutting and pasting I must have cut it by accident. All good!
I will be attending.
Looking forward to my 1st LUG meeting.
Just dawned on me, this will be the first meeting without Owen (Paulinskill)
That sucks
If it is not too late to RSVP, I'll be there.
Mike
Mike, there should be space, c'mon by
I'm gonna try and make this but I am not a morning person so odds are against me
