Hi, 2356!  I have always enjoyed the Raleigh shows (I have been attending them since 1980) and always manage to find a treasure.  As I understand it, the show will have over 100 tables of items for sale, at least six operating layouts from N to G and Standard gauge, kids club activities and a train operating in the parking lot that kids can ride during the hours of the show for $1 (as many times as they like) with a paid admission for the parent.  There will be a repairman at the show to make train repairs n the spot.

To me, it would be worth the drive especially considering the lack of train shows in the area.  I always like the August meet because folks are beginning to think of their trains again as the summer winds down.

Souther crescent 2 posted the flyer for the event in the announcements forum.

If you do come, please stop by and say high!  I will be set up in the second row to the right.

Happy railroading,

Don

For those in the area that could not make it or were wondering if the drive would be worth it, Traintrack (Steve) has posted some nice pictures and videos of the show over on the Weekend Photo Fun (August 7) Thread.

It turned out to be good show with lots of families and kids.  Please take note of all the layouts and activities for Kids.

Happy railroading,

Don
