(You can’t simply copy and post copyrighted images from the web here, so asking for prototype images of a train that hasn’t been around for more than 50 years is a no-no.)

The MTH 70-foot cars are way too short. K-Line made an aluminum 21-inch set (84 feet) that’s highly prized. 3rd Rail recently released a GGD set as well.

I really like the colors and design of the Hiawatha cars from this era.  I have the gray top set from MTH which I pull a MTH Bi Polar, MTH DL 109/110 combination or a Weaver F-7 Hudson.  I find that the 18" length (72 scale feet) is a good compromise between appearance and operational ability.  In addition to that the MTH and Lionel 18" cars are much more available and reasonably priced than the scale cars from K Line or Golden Gate.  I can't find any pictures right now but you will not be disappointed with the set.  The MTH cars are generic by type but the observation is magnificent!

Thank you.  The k line are very nice.  Just trying to see how this recent mth set of cars looks.  I will search again for the mth set on you tube as there are a lot of other previously produced sets available to see.   I like these colors, curious if is as close
