Or are we all Pennsy'd hoppered out with the delivery of the second sets of GLa's?
I could use another round of H43's for my Lionel PRR coal Train.
Of course the Motive power would have to change!

Way way way too modern for me (built 1964).
It's already an 8 car set. Lionel made a 3 pack and another separate sale hopper to go with the original 4 in the set. 8 die cast hoppers makes for a heavy train. It is a very cool set if you have all 8 cars!

Yes but 8 cars for a unit coal train is small.
How about 30 cars? I have a friend who bought all 30 of the K-Line scale #623 die cast hoppers. He used to pull it with a conventional steamer, but they're all back in their boxes now. He's offered to sell it, but too long for my layout

Thirty cars is decent amount of cars for a unit train. Just think of the TankTrain once they are deliverd. Between the two SP sets, and the NS set and the add on cars they would be up to 16-20 cars... Depending on what cars you use.
Why not the same for the PRR Coal train?
