Does anybody know anything about old athearn stock cars? Are they comparable to the westbrooks? Anybody have any pictures? Thanks.

I'm not aware that Athearn offered O gauge stock cars. They did produce a line of 40' single door box cars, 40' steel reefers, and 50' double door box cars.

Are you thinking of Atlas? Or All- Nation?
No, norms has a athearn stock car listed but no picture. I never heard of athearn having any so thats why I asked.
Tom,
I have one of those kits here somewhere. I don't think they were actually done by Athearn, but Reynolds made them when they took over the line. If memory serves, the sides were a rather crude plastic casting.

Ed are you still looking for one of the Lionel MP-prototype stock cars?
I have one in MP as well as a set of MP decals from oddballs because I removed the raised board from the L car and made spacers for the boards and lettered my other one like MP did.
