I'm considering selling my Golden Spike Club cars (three rail).  I think I have all but the very first release.  I don't believe any of them have been taken out of the box.

I've watched the bay off and on for the past several months and these don't seem to come up for sale very often.  So, I'm wondering how they've held their value.  Have they increased in value due to what appears to be a lack of availability?  Have they at least held their value based on the purchase price?

I need to thin some things out a bit and thinking about selling these first so any input on value would be appreciated.

If the Cliquot Club reefer was the first release it's the only one I have. I was in need of a chassis to replace one of my reefers that had warped and cracked. Figured it might be just as cheap to by a whole car and get a spare set of trucks as well. Was looking for an undesirable one that could be bought on the cheap with perhaps body damage. Found a Golden Spike Cliquot Club on the bay nobody had bid on and bid the starting price of just over $20.00. Ended up winning it for that price. I believe the fact that the seller only showed a pic. of the sealed brown shipping carton most people passed it over and never gave it a second look or were willing to research it. I did see these going for about $70.00 a while back.

I would try selling them for the amount you paid to buy them. I don't think any have increased, if at all, in value that much.

Sure.  There are a couple of other Atlas cars pictured.  These others weren't club cars but I believe they were special offers only to Golden Spike Club members.

I do have the original shipping container for most of these.

Let me know what you think.

I am interested in the ADM grain car. That car was in Sioux City a few years ago. I have photos of it.
