hello all,
I have an Atlas O gauge turntable which comes with a DC electrical motor. I plan to power it with an AC adapter wall charger for two way radios. Its output is as follows;
6.5VDC, 200ma, class 2 transformer
Please advise if this charger is ok to use as I do not want to burn out the motor.

I DON'T THINK YOUR HIM RADIO CHARGER IS GOING TO WORK WELL. ITS NOT DESIGNED F0R THAT TPYE OF OPERATION.

How about an old HO power pack?
A Google search brings up the following from an Atlas instruction sheet:
Another Google search suggests the #310 is 17VA so over 10 times more beef than the proposed charger.

The wall charger seems to work fine for the few seconds I tried it. I'm just wondering if it will harm the motor itself. please advise. Thanks much as usual, cherry

The picture and information that Stan2004 posted is the perfect fit for the 6910 IMO.
I used several different sources and found that atlas #310 a safe one to use.
It's also easy to set the low voltage and to me that helps keep the belt from coming off so much.
Apply just enough power to move the TT and that's all.
If I remember atlas also made a #311 that is the same as the #310.
