Which color and lettering schemes did the ATSF box cars have between 1960 - 1969?

This are the years I want to model.

Research I have done says ATSF box cars were painted indian red in 1972, and ATSF hopper cars were painted mineral brown in 1966, but which color were the box cars before 1969?

Were they mineral brown with this lettering like the photo above? This box car is described as "modern"

 or

were they more like this one?

Thanks,

Ray

From what I can determine, "mineral red" (your second example) was used.  The bright "Indian red" with black roof and ends began appearing on cushion underframe "Shock Control" 50' boxcars in 1958.

Mineral red "Slogan" boxcars advertising name trains and the later to "Ship and Travel Santa Fe" lasted well into the 1970's.  The large round herald began to appear sometime in the 1960's and the billboard Cooper Black font in 1972.

Morning Sun's ATSF Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment (my source) is a good, but not the ultimate reference.
