I didn't restore it Joel, pd did. I own a beater Dinky and am interested in the Corgi size. I'm gonna search out your work. So many talented guys on here to guide amateurs like me!

Thanks! It's likely close to 1/43-scale, as that was, I believe, the standard for the European diecast manufacturers (and I think 1/43 was the scale for European O-gauge). Dinky, manufactured by Meccano, was scaled to match the Hornby O-gauge line. Some of the larger vehicles like buses and trucks shaded upwards from 1/50 to 1/55, I believe.
Wow, over a month without a new post. Restoration projects must have dried up. Here's the latest $5 hot rod from Dollar General, a 1969 Pontiac Goat. While not wearing The Judge decals the color does look like it. The GT40 is 1/48 scale Testor's model kit and the Richard Petty Superbird is a 1992 Racing Champions product.

Patrick, I’ll say it again, that hook and ladder fire truck is awesome! You also always manage to find cool automobiles that unfortunately didn’t make it, like the Ford Edsel and Tucker! Do I spy a black 54 Cadillac Coupe de Ville in the background of the fire truck photo? All of your photos seem to have a hidden gem in them!

Thanks so much Scott! Yes, I had to have an Edsel ... I found it on E bay several years ago. You have a good eye ... yep that's a 54 Caddy Coupe de Ville.
David, are the cars you owned the ones around the blue house, some of the ones at bthe show or a combination of both?
The red Jeepster, The blue '68 Ford, the Metropolitan (owned by my late wife before we were married) were all owned by me. You may be able to see a Tucker convertible in the background of one of the pictures. It was made after the company folded from remaining original Tucker parts. The '47 Cadillac is my all time favorite car, stately, it is a work of art and when I hit the lottery.........

I think this is a 1957 Corvette with a 1949 Chevrolet Fire Chief car and 1952 Seagrave open cab pumper in the background. The guy standing by the Vette is Patsburg citizen Guy Kool. 
NYC Fruehauf trailer which I picked up at York several years ago. 
The photo shows a firehouse in my Rockville CT railroad model, named for my friend—a firefighter. The two fire trucks to the right are Corgi replicas of a 1952 Maxim and a 1964 Mack, protypes of which were owned by the Rockville and Vernon FD.

Thanks, John. Two PV firehouses and a bandsaw make light work. The upper floors are from an HO Heljan brewery kit. The top two floor have full interiors, including two brass poles—old school…

I have a few vehicles on the layout, mostly on the freight side. But I need to get some people figures to put among them to liven things up a bit.

Nice batch of autos and trucks Vern! My favorite is the Greyhound Scenicriuser! I’m looking for a Scenicruiser, but so far the ones I have found are over $100! I’m not a collector, so waiting until I see one for less than fifty bucks. The silver late 40’s pick ups are unique too!

Thank you, Scott. I bought the Scenicruiser from Corgi several years ago when they first came out. Had to have this particular livery with the gold striping, because I rode on one of these from San Francisco to San Luis Obispo and on another one from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City as a teenager way back in 1962. The Ford and Chevy pickups are from Lionel flatcar loads.
I liked your engineer figures on another thread so much that I searched for them and ordered the packet of them from Woodland Scenics on eBay. Thank you for that inspiration. 😉

Thanks so much Scott! I honestly don't remember exactly where I bought the milk crates. I think it was from Town and Country Hobbies in the Orange Hall at York. They always have the "little stuff" that can greatly enhance a scene. I think Town and Country Hobbies has a website. If not them perhaps I got them from Scenic Express? I wish I could be more accurate, however, I've bought and acquired so much little stuff that I just can't remember exactly where, what show, e bay purchase, or on line dealer I bought from.
Btw - The Fall and Spring seasons are my favorite times of the year. I love modeling Fall more so over Spring.
FYI - Diecast Direct has some new and recent 1/43 autos and light trucks at reasonable prices, some not so reasonable. Some neat stuff though.

It’s a 1/50 speccast White wc22 in the late 1940s to 1960 is when they stop making it. The trailer is a Lionel o27 Custom built by me I add some old Revell now Atlantis wheels to it.

I’ve been pursuing this specific bus for awhile, I’ve seen them but never a reasonable price. Corgi Classics 1/50 “plain” Greyhound bus White/ Silver/ blue
Wanted a street sweeper, got a foreign one but I can always change the lettering. Nice model, made my siku around 1990-1991
