A friend of mine just sent me these B&W photos that he took when he was a young railfan, back in the day. I really like old photos...and...the E Series locomotives of the Southern Pacific. The first one, SP6003, was taken in 1955 at Colton, CA. The second is SP6046, The Lark. At the time the train was being detoured over the Santa Paula branch due to a tunnel fire at Chatsworth, CA. The pic was taken in February of 1963. Enjoy! Matt
