Too bad the site has been down much of the day, kinda' takes the shine out of the sale.

I don’t see them calling in their IT consultants, on a weekend, at overtime rates, to fix a 50% off sale. I learned from past experience to get my order in early before things go sideways. Who remembers a few years ago when they accidentally programmed their system so it ended the sale at 12 am Sunday instead of 12 am Monday?

Nick, Lionel's sale is appreciated.

What is dilly dilly supposed to mean?  I thought it was a typo or "smart composer" screwing up  "dilly dally" for you.  But even that doesn't make complete sense.(no offense meant, it obviously means SOMETHING. Just nothing I've ever heard, so it strikes me "silly silly" )

Dilly dilly is from a Bud Light commercial.  The pit of misery is also featured in those commercials.

Dean from Lionel posted that they are aware of the issue. They don't think they'll have it fixed by the weekend but will run the sale for the number of days down once it's up and running again. So all is well in Lionelville.

Well, there is always the possibility that the server crashed taking all data. It will be interesting to see if those that ordered already are fulfilled. 

Thank you Greg. I don't watch TV too often, and when I do it's usually something older than I am; i.e., I'm not in Bud's target demographics. And if I can see light thru it, it's not even "beer" to me anyhow

Having retired from IT, I am not surprised at the server overload; there is an old saying in IT: 'Volume is always waiting in the wings to get you.'   Nonetheless, still appreciative of Lionel for the 1/2 off.  My apologies, no need to make light of this situation.
