BN NW2 LionChief switcher, would it make a good workhorse? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I'm considering buying the BN NW2 LionChief switcher as a complimentary workhorse switcher for my layout. I know this is a traditional size locomotive and the details are not Scale or Masterline (Masterline) or Premier(MTH) level. The idea is to have a system independent (Legacy/PS3) locomotive with remote controller to switch cars for operations. Sort of a behind the scenes/curtain workhorse that only needs track power to operate. As switching work is become more and more remote controlled in the real world, not having crew members onboard seems somewhat appropriate. Please share your thoughts?
