Folks,

I'm running my switches (2 for now) on Z-1000 aux power. I threw a switch, with a car in the switch (oops). buzz, angry noise, buzz, but the breaker did not pop. After powering down, there is no problem.

Shouldn't the breaker have popped? Is the aux out protected? If not, is there a breaker you recommend?

You can protect your switch power circuit at 1 to 2 amps and it will trip.

A reliable and inexpensive way to protect equipment from low value faults is to use PTC Resettable Fuses  (PTC = Positive temperature coefficient thermistors).  They automatically reset when fault is cleared.  They're installed in the line the same as fuses or breakers.
