Things I need

19th Century Boxcars (just a few maybe 4 or 5)

a rural station

a water tank

shops and business for main street

telegraph poles

Scale 1930's-1940's freight cars

Scale 1930's-1940's cars (fords, Chevy, Buick, Pierce Arrow's Ect.)

Weaver realeased some telegraph poles a couple of years ago that are very nice.  As to the freight cars, Weaver and Atlas may be your best bet.  MTH has a nice website where you can search anything they have made, although I think in the scale line, MTH has a lot more recent cars than steam era cars - but I could be wrong.  Since you are looking for scale cars, I would add that it can be difficult to determine what is scale and what is not.

Weaver - all scale

Atlas - almost all scale (except, I beleive, the Industrial Rail line)

MTH - it is very easy to figure out what is scale (item #'s starting with 20-)

Lionel - crapshoot

If you find new products from the mfr's website, it is a matter of finding out who has the products.   ebay is a great site for searching as both retailers and individuals sell there.  It is very possible to find a lot of out-of-production items that way.

MTH has done some 19th century stuff (see the link).  And they also have a nice country passenger station.  MTH has done all sorts of buildings, including some that look like 19th century or very early 20th century.

Atlas has also done a rural station.  And they also have a laser-cut station kit that is a replica of an 1870's era station.

A lot of companies have done water tanks.  MTH has an operating tank (the spout lowers), but my favorite for looks is the ones Lionel recently did:  6-16861, and the weathered version with lights - 6-37944.
