IIRC that was nominated for some awards including best short subject Oscar? Might have won, don't remember now.
Buster actually did quite a few "talkies" from comedies with Jimmy Durante and "Ukelele Ike" in the 1930's to the Frankie & Annette beach movies of the 1960's.
He also was a model railroader or toy train guy - someone said they visited him when he was trying to stop smoking. He would take a puff of a cigarette and stick the cigarette in the stack of a steam engine that was running around his (I guess fairly large) layout, and when it came all the way back around to him, he'd pull it out and take another puff. His way of cutting back gradually....
I've lost track of how many times I've watched this film, but it always makes me laugh and gives me joy.
Something that I've wondered is what ever happened to Canadian Nation speeder #135-58. Was it saved or did it get scrapped?
