Can I use both a Legacy A Unit and a TMCC B Unit?

but you could try it, the 6-39544 would need to be put into TMCC mode.

I would think that you will be fine - each unit is completely independent of each other. Am not familiar with the features of the new B unit you mention but they should run together OK.

You can program then to the same ID or as a 'lash-up'.

ugh, I did not realize the B Units are actually "pulling", I thought powered meant "sounds, smoke, lights" on the B units, but not "pulling".

Lionel made a Texas Special F3 Legacy Railsounds B-Unit . It is in 2008 Volume 1 catalog(6-34547). Yea has good Lgacy Railsouns with Fatboy Speaker ElectroCoupler on rear and backup light. Would go good with your A-Unit.

This is a very confusing issue, at least to me. There are so many combinations out there: can motors and Pullmor motors, TMCC alone, TMCC with Odyssey, TMCC with ERR, TMCC with EOB, Legacy, Odyssey 1 with on/off switch, Odyssey 1 without on/off switch, different speed step systems, and I don't know what else.

So which will work with which? It would be great if someone would do a short publication on what can be successfully mu'ed with what.
