in addition to the menards question I had last night. Has anyone tried looking for a moderately priced world war 2 jeep for the US army? I found a lot that I liked but we're not to scale. I'm looking for 1/43 1/50 1/48. These will me mounted on flat cars eventually. I found the Sherman's I was looking for and ambulances. But I'm having s head time with the jeeps. Eventually this will be a world war 2 supply train. Vehicles on flat cars pulled by aPennsylvania 2-8-0. If time and money allow

No help on the Jeep but Menards does have a lot of Military flats and boxcars. Now some are not to scale but to me they are close enough. Actually they vary I think between 1/43 and 1/50 as the Mack flat bed looks a little big to me compared to the rest but does okay.
Your engine sounds great for pulling. I have PRR scale GG1 by Williams pulling one line of them and then I have the Marine F unit pulling some more and the Army switcher puling a few more of them.

I was looking at the menards stuff with the deuce and half, and the what looked like ford panels to me. They're already on my list. I found some Corgi US Sherman's and half tracks as well as dodge ambulances. I did find jeeps but they're either for foreign armies and/or have trailer with them. I'm just looking for the jeep itself. Also I'd like to see some pictures of your stuff. It'll make it easier explaining it to the wife
Rattler21 who made that jeep, and is ther a USA OD green variation?
Diecast Direct sent an email today that has a military keep and trailer.

Good to hear YOU ARE ON "THE MENDS" - KEEP it "TICKING" DUDE!!!
RTrainCollector: Here's Hoping you get healed up soon.
AVRConductor; I hear you, Scale willy jeeps are hard to find. Many ezist but are actually over scale. The 1948 Willys was only 4 feet wide. I remember it well, I learned to drive in it, wish I still had it. Now, those jeeps with the trailer look good, I'd grab a bunch and is need be toss the trailers.
I got a batch of the bay, half of them are Brown camo and will get a repaint. Yes, they are BIG for WW2.
Russell, How about 5 1/2 feet wide? There is no way for two men wearing parkas to sit side by side in four feet. John
If by "hard" you mean you have to do quick Google search to come up with four brands of accurately scaled Willys Jeeps -- GreenLight Collectibles, Atlas, Cararama and IXO -- yeah, I guess that's hard.

The original poster said "I'm looking for 1/43 1/50 1/48." No one said anything about 1:48 vehicles, exclusively. That scale is hard to find, period, for any make and model.
