Stay with me a minute here....

I have suspected that I was missing magazines from time to time. I followed the trail of the last two or three to come in the mail. They start on the dining room table were mail gets sorted. I may move one to the couch for reading. Either way they then seem to get thrown into a pile in the office. The trouble comes when the pile gets covered up or moved for company's sake. So while I was aware that something was going on, it still happened again. This time I caught it earlier than the last two times!

I just came across my issue of OST. Chris has an article on vertical scenery in there that applies very well to my "around the walls" type layout. So I'm interested in how each modeler solves the issue of limited space. Some guys cut the corner round with the backdrop. Others will have depth by hiding the corner with a building and/or a siding to mask the dead corner. I haven't figured all my corners yet. I would like to try both of these at least. So Chris' idea helps fix a couple of connecting areas to my other corner idea of a hillside.

First, I bought some very large poster type backdrops from Back Drop Warehouse to help the lack of depth in some areas like my engine and car yards. If I used them everywhere I think the layout might get boring? Just like the corners I think I could stagger different ideas to keep each area interesting to visitors and myself. So this vertical approach might just be the ticket to help from a boring repetitive layout.

I could ramble on much further. I should stop and just give thanks again, for guidance and direction, Christopher! (a little late?)

I'm planning the layout and just maybe getting closer to the new build.
