Chris' O-Gauge Layout: RBP Trains

Chris - that was an enjoyable video, thanks for sharing. I like the track plan and "kid-friendly underside of the layout" planning...I thought I was the only grown man who tries to hide under the layout

I am also a fan of curved benchwork; the curves enable a larger track plan to fit into a room more aesthetically as your video clearly shows. I also had a carpenter-friend help me build my curved sections...without his help I'd likely still be working on it.

Well done, and thanks for sharing.  While erring on the side of caution for well-documented reasons, it's not overbuilt.  I particularly like the thoughtful use of 3/4" plywood for the framework - allows for the use of less material without sacrificing strength.  The curved edges are nicely done.

I agree, the layout is well built, but no wasted material.  I too like curved edges, but admit I am not up to that challenge.

I don't know how this topic has stayed hidden from me for so long. I'll get my eyes watching slowly here to see what I've missed this whole dang time. Chris, I know this is a great topic, I just have to catch up.

Chris, I watched your video with the new bridge in place. That rabbit is dynamite, I mean that bridge is dynamite. Looks great with the Big Boys crossing over.

Awesome Chris! Even as a regular viewer, I learned a few things I didn't know. I especially liked the part about repurposing the walnut from your grandfather's farm to make parts the elevated track section. Very nice touch.

Looks like you have some long reach issues, especially on the "north" end of the layout.  Would love to see an expose on your access hatches, as everything looks seamless. 

Chris, once again great looking layout and it is nice to see you posting again! I can understand being busy over the summer, but luck us it coming time for trains again! I know you will be posting more, and I will be keeping my eyes open for more of your wonderful layout
