Hi Everyone:
Cincinnati, Ohio had a happening on the above dates because something new hit our city called "Blink Cincinnati". Pervious years, Cincinnati Celebrated The Luminosity Light Show which was a Laser Light Show that was shown on Cincinnati Music Hall Front Walls for about 1 1/2 hours as the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra played many different tunes to the dancing lights and dvd type videos displayed on the building....
This year two brilliant young gentlemen came up with a unique idea called "Blink Cincinnati". Blink Cincinnati means an Inter Active Art Light Show----
From the Cincinnati Banks (River Front) 2nd Street along the total Streetcar Route up Main St to Twelve Street to Elm Street (Over the Rhine Area) and down Race Street to Central Parkway to Walnut St (to Fountain Square) and then onto the Banks. There were luminaries on buildings, moving light art items, etc, etc. The crowd was estimated to be near 1 million people who visited this art show on this 4 night event that started at 7PM and lasted till 11PM. Social Media was very pleased with the turn out and the businesses along the 3.6 mile streetcar route just thrived. (Including other businesses in the general area). People bought a ticket on the Bell Connector Streetcar for $2.00each and could ride and jump off at any stop to see the continuous show. Besides all the bars, restaurants, and beer halls, had great business. The Bell Connector ran all Five of there streetcars and the crowds were over whelming. I am sure this event will happen next year at this time. The Cincinnati Police Department said the crowds were very well behaved. It was estimated that the Streetcar carried close to 28 thousand people in those 4 days and they were packed. No one expected such a crush of visitors, but the weather was perfect with a slight amount of rain on Sunday Morning. The night time show had perfect weather each night. Wow, when Cincinnati, Ohio throws a party...they do it right. Next year should be even better. sincerely yours, railbear601
