I just received a used Atlas GP35 Opening the box discovered wet stuff on body of the engine. Also, when removing the battery cover off the top of the engine, seemed pretty wet with what I assume is smoke fluid.
The unit seems to work as intended in conventional mode, (I don't have TMCC, yet). ( I don't use smoke!)
So, how does one clear the fluid residue off the wiring and electronic boards?
I would guess need to take the body off to do a thorough job.

Get some naphtha from your local hardware store, and use it on a cloth to clean everything up. You may need to remove the board and wiring to do a thorough job. The naphtha will not harm plastic or paint, but use caution around decals and stickers, as it will loosen the glue on them.

Thats a bad idea, as it teaches the train its O.K. to "go" inside the house.
